Ebenso sind Verkaufsflächen als untergeordnete Nebenanlagen und Einrichtungen zulässig, die dem zulässigen Nutzungszweck des jeweiligen Grundstücks selbst dienen. Zulässig sind ausserdem Büro- und Verwaltungsgebäude, Wohnungen oder Wohngebäude für Aufsichts- und Bereitschaftspersonen sowie für Betriebsinhaber und Betriebsleiter. Auf mehr als der Hälfte des Grundstücks sind darüber hinaus zulässig sonstige Gewerbebetriebe zulässig, solange deren flächenbezogener Schalleistungspegel  pro Quadratmeter Grundstücksfläche 50 dB (A) am Tage und 35 dB (A) in der Nacht nicht überschreitet. Gottmadingen liegt im wirtschaftsstarken Bundesland Baden-Württemberg in Südwestdeutschland (Landkreis Konstanz), direkt an der Grenze zur Schweiz. Die Gemeinde hat etwa 10.000 Einwohner. Der Bahnknotenpunkt Singen am Hohentwiel liegt 6 km von Gottmadingen entfernt: Dort trifft die ICE-Linie Stuttgart-Zürich-Mailand mit den Linien [Paris-Strassburg-]Offenburg-Konstanz und [München-]Lindau-Basel zusammen. Darüberhinaus befindet sich ein HUPAC-Terminal für den alpenquerenden LKW-Huckepackverkehr in Singen-Süd.In 2 km Entfernung befindet sich der zweitgrösste Strassengrenzübergang zwischen Deutschland und der Schweiz (Bietingen-Thayngen). Der internationale Flughafen Zürich-Kloten kann in etwa 35 Minuten erreicht werden.

The Community has approximately 10.000 habitants. The infrastructure is excellent: There are two highway entries/exits at roughly 2.5 km (1.5 miles) with federal highways A 81 (Singen-Stuttgart-Würzburg), A 98 ([Basle-]Singen-Stockach[-Lindau-Munich]), B 33bis (Constance). In addition, Gottmadingen is located on the railway line Singen-Schaffhausen-Winterthur. At the railway station of Singen/Hohentwiel, 6 kms (3.75 miles) East of Gottmadingen, the international railway line Stuttgart-Zurich-Milan meets with the lines Offenburg-Konstanz and [Munich-]Lindau-Basle. Singen also hosts a major terminal for cross-alpine intermodal transport (HUPAC).
